Why Pursuing Art is Courageous-Even Heroic

Throughout history, art has been a way of inspiring change. It has been a way of challenging accepted notions about the world and the way we live in it. It was been a way of sharing beauty, joy, fear, sorrow, hope, and love. It has been a way of connecting with others-many of whom the artist will never meet in person-viscerally, personally, and asking them to question their most deep-held beliefs. Art has been, still is, and always will be a way of sharing our soul; of revealing and exploring what it means to be human and alive on this earth.

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to create art in many of its forms: theater, film, books, music, and dancing. As different as all of these mediums may seem, they each require courage to create. Our clients have that courage. They’re willing to face the most trying, devastating parts of their life and turn them into art that can inspire and do good. They’re willing to dive into the unknown and work to see what shape the clay takes. And they do it because they have faith that there are people in the world with the courage enough to experience their art, to engage with it and let it change them.

I am proud that I, and Round Table Companies, can serve art and those who create it. Are you one of them? Would you like to be? Contact us at lauray@writersoftheroundtable.com to discuss how we might be able to help you find the courage to create, develop, and/or birth your art into the world. where it belongs.
