We do not market our company. Our clients come to us through referral, because they have heard me speak or attended a workshop, because they have read one of our books and it deeply affected them, or because they have been in contact with another of our clients and saw the life change they were in the middle of and wanted a piece of that for themselves.
Make no mistake, our process changes people’s lives. Most for the better, but creation is a tricky game. You put your heart and soul into it and if your heart is in the right place, and you truly want to write a book that will affect people, the process will better your life. If you simply want to become a best-seller, and have someone else do all the work, the process will better your life, but the results will most likely disappoint and embitter you. So positive intention combined with a realistic understanding of the business of art can make for a brilliant journey.
Robert Renteria (From the Barrio to the Board Room) is a perfect example of a client who understood what it took to create a product that would move people, and then combined that with an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to invest in a long term campaign towards raising awareness for his book. We’re eight months into his marketing and PR and the branding is powerful, the media is picking up on his story, and individuals and organizations are taking his challenge to buy the books en masse and donate them to at risk youth and adults who need them. We’re on a lifetime journey with Robert and right now we’re nearly three years into his book. He and I are business partners in every sense of the word, both completely devoted to his message. So look at your life and then look at Robert’s. If you are someone like him who wants to make a difference and is willing to devote the rest of your life to it, call me and let’s talk. 815-346-2398.
